TITLE:           ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER II

                       

DUTIES:  Employee in this position responds to citizen requests for service and captures, confines stray, diseased, bothersome domestic animals.   Work is performed in accordance with county and state laws governing animal control and requires some independent judgment and initiative in the application of laws.  Work is performed under the general supervision of the County Health Director and immediate supervision of the Animal Shelter Manager.  Employee will also perform other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:   Graduation from High School with two years law enforcement experience, including one year as an Animal Control Officer, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Valid NC Driver’s License; Certification as a Law Enforcement Officer in accordance with the provision of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training & Standards Council or deputized or other certification granted by local ordinance as appropriate.  Minimum qualification cannot be waived by experience.

 

Applicant must take and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Records driver license check, as well as submit to random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.  A criminal background check must be completed by the County of Robeson for potential applicants.  Applicants not residing in Robeson County will be required to provide a certified criminal background check from the county in which they reside.

 

SALARY:  $29,531.08

TITLE:           PUBLIC INFORMATION SPECIALIST ASSISTANT IV

                       

DUTIES:  Employee in this position will function as the agency Communication Specialist.  Work involving switchboard operation will be the primary responsibility of this position requiring 65% of employee’s time.   Employee will screen agency telephone calls for 50+ various Robeson County Health Department programs.   This position serves as the local Administrator for VRAS (Vital Record Automated System), NCID-NG (North Carolina Identity Management Service – Next Generation Service and HIS (Health Information System).  Duties include setting up employee accounts, unlocking employee accounts and resetting employee accounts. 

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledges, skills and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant/secretarial experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

SALARY:  $28,124.84

TITLE:           COMPUTER SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR III

                       

DUTIES:  This position serves as the Computer Systems Administrator III (IT Director) for the Robeson County Health Department.   This position maintains the Health Department Network which supports over 30 databases.   Employee will maintain hardware management, coordination of software needs for the system users, coordination of software upgrades, providing resolution of equipment or communication problems and consultation with users on potential office information needs through the use of the system of equipment.   This position is also the HIPAA Security Officer and handles all computer related security issues.   In addition to the on-sight duties, this position maintains a total of 25 computers in several remote locations.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  Graduation from high school and four years of experience in the administration of a computer system similar to the one to be supported; or a two year technical school degree in computer technology and two years of experience in the administration of a computer system; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited universities.

 

SALARY:  $48,103.02
